My Stuff

Blog Post Number One - The Beginning
Everything is mine. I know this because it’s all stored on My Computer. My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, hell, I wouldn’t be surprised to find My Wife somewhere in there. You have reached My Web Site, and with that in mind, I have put whatever I want on it.

There is also a lot of My Personal Opinions and My Rhetoric here, along with My Humor, My Stories, and My Things that I find that may have a point or simply be funny.

The primary focus of this site is fun, whether it is a joke, a story, photo, or a fond memory of American memorabilia. There is also a Department of Redundant Information, things that may seem apparent to many people, but just in case you were asleep the first time around, here it is again.

Even though this is My Stuff, you are invited to steal it. You may have it for two, umm, three reasons. First, if you really want My Stuff you will take it anyway. Second, I want you to enjoy My Stuff, and if you can pass along a joke, or a picture that makes someone laugh, good for you. Third, a lot of this stuff isn’t mine, not that credit isn’t given to the owner, it is. I believe we should all share our stuff.

This is an experiment for me, my first attempt at blogging. I am fortunate in that I have worked with technology in one form or another almost all my life, so far. Even though I primarily worked with hardware, and spent years in telephony, I have experience in programming, which makes it possible for me to hack themes and PHP pages and scripts.

Wordpress and other blogging and CMS applications are incredible these days. I encourage anyone who uses these to donate to the organization that makes it. As a matter of fact, donate to any good open source company, Mozilla being one example. Firefox is an amazing web browser, and I believe responsible for forcing Microsoft to attempt a fix for Internet Explorer 6. You use open source, give ‘em some money dammit. It’s the least you can do.

I look forward to more experimentation with CMS and blogging pre-builts. If you are interested in programming for the web this is a great learning tool, and if you just want to write for the web, this is also a great learning tool.

    Peace and good will,

    Hal Brown
